THE ORIGIN

Where the cat came from.

Nola is a real cat. She belongs to Harry Kalodner, co-founder of Offchain Labs, the team that built Arbitrum, and in December 2023 the internet decided she was the feline face of the chain. He answered with six facts about her and one note: neither he nor Offchain Labs has anything to do with any Nola token. That is still true, and this page says so on purpose.

$NOLA is her fan club, on Solana. It is paired with ARB, the Arbitrum token as issued on Solana by Backpack, so her chart moves with Arbitrum rather than with SOL. Every time she changes hands, 3% is set aside and handed back to everyone holding her, paid in ARB. Nobody claims anything; it just arrives.

No roadmap of promises. One cat, one chain, one pair, and a tax that goes the right way.

Is this official?

No. Nola belongs to Harry Kalodner of Offchain Labs, and he has said plainly that neither he nor Offchain Labs is connected to any Nola token. This is a fan coin, made by people who like the cat. Do your own research, as he would say.

Why is a cat paired with ARB?

Because she is the feline face of Arbitrum. ARB on Solana, as issued by Backpack, is the closest thing to home, so NOLA is priced in it and her chart moves with it.

What is the 3%?

A transfer tax built into the token itself. Every time NOLA moves, 3% goes to the people holding her, paid in ARB, automatically. Nobody claims anything and nobody can switch it off.

Where can I buy it?

Jupiter, StonkFun, or any Solana wallet that swaps. The contract address is on this page. If somebody sends you a different one, it is not her.

Who is behind it?

A cat, and the people who like her. Nobody from Arbitrum, nobody from Offchain Labs, and nobody the cat has agreed to endorse, since she only endorses things she can bite.
